TRUE GODLINESS REVEALED

TRUE GODLINESS REVEALED. 1st Timothy 3:16. The house of God, the local assembly, is "the pillar and ground of the truth." A "pillar" is meant to support the top of a structure. The great temple of Diana had 127 pillars compared to the “pillar and ground of the truth.” The scripture refers to displaying God's truth, which is “holding forth the word of life.” [Phil. 2:16]. "Ground" serves as the foundation, the stay of fundamental biblical truth. An example of a basic biblical doctrine is a hymn that the apostle probably sang and perhaps was learned by the believers in the assemblies.

It affirms the Person and work of Christ, highlighting His deity and humanity. God was revealed in the flesh: Christ's birth and life were known and observed [Jn.14:1-9]. Vindicated by the Spirit, He was empowered through the Spirit [Rom.1:4]. Angels saw Him during His life and ministry, especially after His return to heaven. He is being preached to the nations by those dedicated to fulfilling the commission. "Believed on in the world" results from all that came before, and being received up into glory refers to His ascension [Acts 1:2,22].

This verse serves as a declaration of faith expressed in the form of a hymn. The mystery of godliness, or the source of godliness, is our Lord Jesus. In His incarnation as a man, He was God here on the earth, which He had created. He exemplified holiness in every aspect of His life, ministry, death, and resurrection. Jesus was God made flesh, coming to bring us to God. Through His reconciling work, He has delivered us from the power of darkness into the kingdom of God.

Justified in the Spirit means that all He did was vindicated by the Spirit, starting with His birth and throughout His life and ministry. The work of the Holy Spirit convicts sinners, making them aware of their sins and revealing Christ as the Savior and Redeemer. The Holy Spirit continues to work through God’s people, who know they “serve a living Savior.”

At the birth, resurrection, and ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ, angels saw Him, testified about Him, and proclaimed that He would return. These essential truths about the Lord are being preached worldwide to both Gentiles and Jews. Every day, souls come to Him by faith and are accepted by God when they receive Christ as their Savior. Many believe in Him because they know the living Lord is at the right hand of God's throne as our Mediator, Intercessor, and Lord.

The affirmation in this hymn is a declaration and testimony to the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, in whose name we gather and under whose authority we actively pursue the goals of God's kingdom. This special hymn form highlights our Lord's public life and ministry. He was seen in the flesh. The unseen Spirit justified Him in His resurrection. He was seen by angels here on earth when He ascended into heaven, and now He is seated there.

He is heralded to the nations of men through words heard by those who take His Gospel into all the world. Those who respond to the Gospel place their faith in Him and believe in Him even though they have not seen Him. His ascension into heaven was visibly seen by those who watched Him rise from the Mount of Olives. His deity and humanity are clearly stated in this hymn, which Paul wrote under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus was a man. He appeared in a body of flesh through His incarnation, and He was able to be the exact substitute we needed. His birth and life on earth openly identify His righteous manhood. God was visibly present here as the Perfect Man among men. His deity was evident in His works, proving His divine nature. He created wine as His first miracle without relying on the normal process of seasons. He gave life to those who were dead because, as God, He held the keys to life and death. He was justified (vindicated) in the Spirit through His resurrection. There's no doubt that God's power was in Him. Death for sin had no claim on Him. He is who He said He is, and this will be clear when "every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Angels saw Him descend from His lofty place in heaven and come to earth. They saw Him while He was on earth, and He was ministered to by an angel. They awaited His beck and call. He could have called legions of angels to deliver Him. They also saw Him ascend into heaven in glory after His resurrection. In contrast to the heavenly sphere, His name and His Gospel are being heralded across the earth to all nations, not just to the Jews. There is a glory not yet seen by men, as the Savior entered heaven with the results of accomplished redemption, adding a new dimension to His eternal glory. At the same time, as the

The testimony of an assembly like the one in Ephesus and ours is upheld in a manner fitting for the house of God. Through the testimony and order of God's people, Christ is revealed to each new generation. Christ embodies everything that pleases the heart of God. The purpose of mankind was to reveal God. “Image” means similarity. “Likeness” means representation. He was perfect as a man, showing how to live and please God. His power is limitless because, as God, He has "all power." Through Him, we can live as God intends and do His will in every part of our life. Through His power, we too will be raised from the dead, transformed in the blink of an eye, and caught up to meet Him in the air.

Finally, God’s expectations are fulfilled through His people. Godliness is not beyond the reach of frail mortal man. God did not cease to be God when Christ was revealed on earth in human form through His gracious incarnation in perfect holiness. Alongside the glory of godliness shown in the man Christ Jesus was the work of the Holy Spirit wherever Christ was present. Lost souls were saved, dead people were raised, and those with diseases were healed. After His crucifixion, He was raised from among the dead, whose bodies remained in the ground.

Angels watched in awe as the Lord ascended into heaven and told the watchers that He would return. They saw and worshiped Him there because of the victory He had won over sin, death, and hell. He who descended to earth now came back in the body of glory He was given and ascended triumphantly into heaven. There, they would bow in awe at the triumphs of God the Son. Now, worldwide, the message of redeeming grace is spreading. As the far corners of the world hear the way of God’s salvation through heralds who tell the story of Jesus, many believe it by faith. Those who, for a long time, were in darkness now rejoice in reconciliation with God, who has placed in everyone a consciousness of Himself.

Not everyone, but many, believe in Christ for the salvation of their souls. Their ears and hearts are opened to believe by the Holy Spirit. Those who were sin-sick are now made whole through the new birth, and blessings follow those who believe it when they hear God’s Word. He lives, and we who truly believe in Him have eternal life. The Lord, who was received into heaven, has promised that He will return. All over the world, saints are waiting for the One they received by faith. Godliness still flourishes when people practice what they learn.
