2 Timothy 1:10

REVEALED BY LIGHT

REVEALED BY LIGHT. 2nd Timothy 1:10 God’s grace has always been somewhat visible to people of faith, but since Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, that grace has been revealed in the fullest way. “You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ…” “By grace are ye saved through faith…” Believers in Him understand that leaving our earthly bodies means we will be forever with the Lord, which can eliminate the fear of death. Eternal life is guaranteed because the Lord Jesus has defeated death and its power over us by dying for our sins, being buried, and rising again from the dead. A glorified body waits for us when He returns for His people.

The Gospel offers us forgiveness of sins and, as a result, draws us to live in ways that please God through holiness, righteousness, and sanctification. When we believe the Gospel and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, we begin a new life—eternal life—that enables us to live in the power of Christ's everlasting life. Life and immortality, which were mostly hidden in darkness before Christ came, have since been revealed clearly by His grace.

Because He died for us, we have died in Him, and the old bondage to earthly life has passed away. When He rose from the dead, we who believe in Him are now alive forever in Him. The limitations of our earthly bodies are temporary, and we can manage them to a limited extent by obeying our Lord Jesus Christ.

When the Lord abolished death (separation from God), He took away its power through Christ's victory over death, when "He gave His life as a ransom for all to be testified in due time." Now, believers who were dead spiritually have been made alive in Christ; we are alive forevermore. For those God has saved, physical death is like stepping through a door from one room to another. Even mortality is not an enemy because death has been annulled, and our life is eternal in quality. Our lives are different now and will be forever without any separation from God. The Gospel has given us a clear view ahead.
