PEACE, LOVE, GRACE

PEACE, LOVE, GRACE. Ephesians 6:23-24. “Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.”

“PEACE”: Repose, we are able to lie back; repose, to feel that we nothing lack; repose, to not have to fill the slack – Peace from the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Hush, the sounds are still; hush, you almost hear the hills; hush, in the distance, a whippoorwill – Peace from the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Serenity is quietness in the soul; serenity is no pressure to make things go; serenity is being where the quiet waters flow – Peace from the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Tranquility, not easily perturbed; tranquility, unruffled and not disturbed; tranquility, the whole person is quite composed – Peace from the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Silence, there is no sound to disturb the night; silence, no noise trying to wrong a right; silence, sending fear to flight – Peace from the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Stillness, the battle is over; stillness, may this last forever; stillness, I am at peace with the Father – Peace from the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Calmness, quietness, and rest; calmness, and I am truly blessed; calmness, the peace-pact is signed – PEACE, from the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

“LOVE”: It was displayed at the cross. It is directed to the whole world. It is experienced personally. It comes from the highest possible Source. It comes at the highest possible cost. It originated with God. It is shown to those who deserve it the least. It is given and not withdrawn. It is LOVE, real love – from the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

“GRACE”: Unmerited favor. Given at the sacrifice of another. Undeserved by any stretch of the imagination. Given to the humble. Unrestrained by the One who has given it. Given to those who ask at the throne of grace. Undeniable when we look for God’s truth. Given to those who gain the knowledge of – GRACE, from the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Father, I do sincerely love the Lord Jesus Christ, I do love the brethren, I do want peace for each of the Lord’s people. I know all this has to come from You, and I am thankful for all this peace, love, and grace that has come from the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.”
