Leviticus 18:5

Live in them

Live in them. Leviticus 18:5 There are life patterns that form a mosaic of relationships. Some nearby are so close that it is hard to see all they mean. Others far away are so distant that they are just part of the scenery. So, how can we understand the dynamics of living that God intends? He has made His statutes and judgments clear to us by writing them so we can LIVE IN THEM.

The careless lives of others around us do not make anything right. We cannot shape our way and patterns of living based on that way of life. It is essential that we understand and follow His moral ways, who is our Father. It is true that God is our Father, but He is also our Lord. His knowledge of rightness can never be wrong – LIVE IN THEM.

There are ways and words we cannot go or speak. Life, in its simple form, is and should be sacred to God. Every part of daily living can be made holy. Those around me should understand that there are boundaries and rules we follow each day. Therefore, LIVE IN THEM.

Holiness in families is passed down as a truth to be lived daily. It is only right that, from one generation to the next, living in the light remains part of a heritage from God that we are given to uphold. It is only right to expect each generation to follow the basics. While there may be changes in how each generation views things, the fundamentals come from God – LIVE IN THEM.

I’m older now; I hope I’m wiser than I was in days gone by. My children and grandchildren are the pride and joy of my life. If I had something to give them that I thought would truly bless them, it probably wouldn’t be gifts, money, or even stories told. It would hopefully be that they know my wife and I believe in what we’ve been taught and learned from God, and we LIVE IN THEM.
