Leviticus 8:33–34

Full hands

Full hands. Leviticus 8:33-34 Being set apart for God is a meaningful calling. The responsibilities are detailed in God’s own Word, and the blood must sanctify those God has chosen. They are not free to leave, even if they could. The days of consecration have arrived. The congregation gathers at the door. Water has been collected until there is no longer a need to fill the laver. The garments the High Priest wears have never been worn. The sacrifices have been offered at the altar; the days of consecration are here for us.

I feel the Holy Spirit working within my soul. My inner thoughts go beyond the hidden corners of my mind, where they lurk unspoken. The value of people's souls challenges me not to neglect my duty—it's to those without the Gospel who are heading into eternal darkness. The days of dedication are here. The fields around us are full of millions who need the Savior. When He was here, He looked at them with compassion and sent us to reach out to them with the Gospel. To do this, I need clear spiritual vision and awareness that the days of dedication are upon us.

It would be wrong to start before I am truly prepared. The work would suffer if someone is unstable and unready in both speech and doctrine. People need to hear the word of God clearly explained and applied to their personal needs. The message of the Gospel must be deeply felt by those who preach and teach it because the days of dedication are here. We cannot delay what must be done now.
