It is God. Philippians 2:13. “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” When a person’s mind forms a thought with a blessing as its goal, God can turn it into a solution for someone’s problem. When you enjoy looking at a valley, mountain, or plain, God reminds us of His creations by His word. When you start your day by rejoicing in the light of His word and then see the daylight, remember that it is God who made the sun to govern the day. When you close your eyes with gratitude to God for a good day and then sleep through the night, be thankful that it is God who grants rest along the way.
When you see that newborn child and watch the little smile that shows recognition of someone who cares for him or her, God has given that little one life that flows into personhood. When someone first sees the light of God’s salvation after struggling in sin for a while until they are willing to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, God grants eternal life to the seeking soul by His grace. When you hear praises to God rise from the saints to create a sense of harmony, worship, and joy, God has placed the song in their hearts. When someone opens God’s Word and reveals truths to the mind’s eye, God reveals the truth to us right from the start.
God intends for our faith and obedience to both be active in each of us. Without God's work within us, we would fail to accomplish things rightly. God does not abandon us to our own devices or resources; instead, He works in us to achieve results that please Him. The sound judgment and advice given by the wise should not be despised or ignored, but the ultimate and spiritually correct outcomes do not depend on the opinions of those who are not part of the local fellowship.
When the Spirit of God reveals the Lord to my mind and heart, it warms my soul because God works deeply within me. I begin to see events as God sees them and understand my true role in each situation. It is God who allows me to see as He does. Then, I can live peacefully and enjoy the fruits of redeeming grace because God sustains this contentment. At that moment, I can rest from what seems like wasted effort and start praying in hopeful faith, knowing that God brings about all good results according to His will.
There may be a solution that initially escapes us, but God knows what it is. He is working in us to accomplish His will. The process of guiding an assembly from immaturity to maturity might take time, but God is the one who gives us the desire and strength to keep moving forward. We are not left without direction; we must commit ourselves to do what is revealed to us as His will. The mind of Christ motivates us to desire and do God's will, so that the work of salvation within the assembly is not stopped or hindered in any way. It needs to be completed; otherwise, growth ceases, impacting both the believers in the assembly and its testimony to the world around them.
We need to be careful about how we behave as believers within a church community. Complaining and arguing achieve nothing. First, we should examine ourselves before God. We should carefully consider perceived insults, being overlooked, or not being consulted the way we expected. Analyze unkind words to understand why they were spoken and if they truly intended to be unkind. While criticism is difficult to accept, we should evaluate whether it was meant to help or harm. Many things are often said impulsively due to unexpected problems. When faced with such situations, it's better to avoid responding hastily in anger or retaliation. Instead, continue doing your work for the Lord without complaining or engaging in arguments. Usually, there's no need to defend ourselves or create conflict just to get our way.
