1st John 4:5. “They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.” OF THE WORLD. “Of the world” begins with and follows an evil source. Its god promotes and continues, a dark and downward course. Its objective in the end is to defeat all that is of God, And turn aside righteousness using every method and falsehood.
It has a form of government that spreads out through all the land. Evil men and seducers abound on every hand, Guided by false spirits that turn millions from God’s way So that the majority that are living are under this world’s sway.
Pleasure stands high as one of the objectives of the world’s agenda – To keep mankind from serious thinking or anything that offends them. Vicarious living through hero-worship leads down an unknown path That ultimately leaves the lost soul empty and ends with them under God’s wrath.
Business has a solid claim on those with a lot of ambition. The world lies before them beckoning to a higher situation. Even though the profit margins seem to be getting greater – There comes a time when business ends – for some its sooner than later.
Fame entices the ones who have a desire to be seen by men. The attraction of being known as a skillful negotiator never leaveth them. The higher in the public eye they climb, the better they like it – Until the time comes when they lose and end in despair’s dark pit.
No matter what the world offers people, it cannot bring one satisfaction. The more absorbed in worldly activity, the greater the false attraction. When one is “of the world” there is no escaping its chains – Peace and joy are missing from everything done in the devil’s name.
“I look around Father God, and see so much activity and so few results that bring people what they really want. Please help us who are Christians to let our light so shine in this dark world, that people will want the light we have for themselves. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
