1st John 5:17. “All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.” UNRIGHTEOUSNESS. Others are involved – one refused to work They load they carry is large – one continues to shirk The pressure to conform is applied to every one Conforming to the world – he is like a chameleon.
It may not seem too bad – only a small part is really wrong No consequences now although there’ll be some later on Most people will never know but what everything’s okay – Hopefully when it’s found out, I’ll be far away.
Some things are easily hidden from eyes that will not see The thoughts that lead to actions lived out unrighteously Starts with unrighteousness allowed to take control, And ends with sin-stains unerased on an unrighteous soul.
There is no good explanation for doing what I know is bad. There is no joy in evil, only a heart that grows more sad. There is no escaping the fact that all unrighteousness is sin, This must be dealt with in temptation before the actions begin.
The blood of Christ still cleanses us but we have a choice to make. Deliberately choosing unrighteousness affects the way I take. The Spirit, water and blood – to me does still testify – It is the actions of unrighteousness from which I still must fly.
Unrighteousness still is sin whether in thought or word or deed. There is power to overcome when to the Spirit I give heed. There are no good excuses for doing what I know is wrong – When through spiritual powers within, instead of being weak, I am made strong.
“I pray today, Father, that I will never excuse unrighteousness. Also, I pray that I will always be conscious of it, and be careful in confessing and forsaking sin. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
