1st Peter 1:2. “Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.”
THE TRINITY. Far beyond the ability of man to express and fully understand Is a fact revealed in the scriptures of truth helping me to comprehend; A little bit of what it means for me to be a child of God And how it came to pass as three equal Persons’ work unfolds.
The Father in wisdom was willing to identify the elect The Holy Spirit used the Word to draw me from sin to faith The Son, the Lord Jesus paid the price with the shedding of His blood And the blessings of redemption are truly all of God.
The Holy Spirit sets one apart when first convicting me of sin And when repentance and faith in Christ takes place, He then enters in Leading and sanctifying the one to whom He gave to whom He gave new life So that a new believer now obeys, and grace and peace are multiplied.
The sprinkled blood is the proof that Christ’s life was given for me Obedience and sanctification of the Spirit proves I have life indeed Appreciation for God’s work in bringing me to real faith Is evidence that what God is doing in me is truly a work of grace.
As life unfolds and experiences come, the Holy Trinity Still works in my life, each using His role in perfect harmony Instead of just looking back to a work God did in days of yore The work of the Trinity goes on each day multiplying more and more.
“O Holy Three-in-One: I come to Thee Father, in the name, the authority, of the Lord Jesus Christ, and led by the Holy Spirit declare to Thee my gratitude and love for Thee. I am not worthy of speaking to Thee, let alone being accepted by Thee. So in grateful thanks I express my awe at being allowed to be in Thy family and a part of the unfolding kingdom of God.
