1st Peter 1:9. “Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.”
THE SALVATION OF YOUR SOULS. The result is not always seen when first we act in faith We will be in glory before the full path we can trace But there is a real reason when we act upon the unknown The One in whose word we have trusted is God’s eternal Son.
So we won’t know every turn ahead in this life of faith we walk And we don’t know the end result every time we have a talk With some other souls who too are in this life of faith we take But in trust without serious question, this journey we will make.
In this life of faith, we have joy that God Himself has given For our sins have been laid on Jesus and we are now forgiven But there is another part to this salvation God indeed provided That is the salvation of my life by the Spirit God imparted.
And in a future day when we are forever with the Lord We will know another salvation promised in God’s Word That will be the salvation of this body now earth bound The fleshly attractions that now hinder will not in heaven be found.
“I thank Thee Father, for the promise of a complete salvation from hell, from sin, from sin’s power and from sin’s presence. In faith I thank Thee now for the place in heaven Thy gift of salvation has given me. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
