1st Peter 4:12. “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:” FIERY TRIAL. Some are there right now, Father – the match has been struck Give to those whom Thou hast chosen a grace unique – To bear the pain and suffering – the loss and the hurt – Give them the needed strength for which they seek.
Whether just given news that has left them breathless and in shock – Draw near and give their spirits Thy sweet rest. Hear and answer their prayer – and mine – as at Thy door we knock. Please lead them through this trial in the way You know is best.
In some distant place there are those under persecution – It is coming from those who are their friends and family. Lord God, give them wisdom and power during this opposition – May Your love and mercy through Him be plainly seen.
If the time comes for me to suffer – to pass through a fiery trial – May I remain true and faithful to Thee, my Lord. On the way which Thou hast led me, I have in every mile Experienced Thy gracious presence and comfort by Thy guiding hand.
It probably shouldn’t be strange to me to have serious ordeals – For that is a promise to those who live for Thee. The times I’ve had to face troubles, in a little way I feel – The comfort of Thy presence and the ways You’ve strengthened me.
“I am sure Father, there are many presently going through fiery trials. Help them to endure. Give them strength to overcome. Through this time use them to glorify Thy own holy name. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
