2nd Peter 1:1 PRECIOUS FAITH To people and to God some things are truly valuable Spiritual things are so great each is beyond being saleable The word of God is precious [1Sa.3:1], wisdom is precious too [Pr.3:13-15] Each human soul is precious [1Sa.26:21], life itself is precious to you [1Kg.1:13]
The redemption of a soul is precious [Ps.49:8], the price of sin is paid By the precious blood of Christ [1Pe.1:19], when our sins on Him were laid The thoughts of God toward us are precious to our minds [Ps.139:17] The promises of God are precious [2Pe.1:4], not one failure will we find
Christ Himself is precious [Is.28:16], He is "the Preciousness" to me Faith itself is precious [2Pe.1:1], making unseen things reality The trial of faith is precious [1Pe.1:7], our future is secure The death of saints is precious [Ps.72:14], their home in heaven is sure
Peter knew the Lord, had seen Him face to face He met there alone with Him after Jesus from the grave was raised Faith to Peter was real, as precious faith is real to me All these valuable precious things, through the eyes of faith I can see
