Colossians 1:1

CONNECTIONS

Colossians 1:1. "Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother," CONNECTIONS. A man of great intellect in prison for his faith - A younger believer from another nation is with him in this place. Writing a letter to people who had never seen his face - How did they make these connections?

One was called to be an apostle by the will of God. The younger man listened when he preached the Word - Sent to a distant country because he knew Jesus as his Lord. God Himself was making the connections!

Together they traveled to new harvest fields afar - Now for the sake of the Gospel, behind prison bars. Hearing of new believers and wondering how they are - The Spirit of God is making connections!

It is not much different in this day and age. We hear about some distant, previously unknown place - So, we meditate and pray; then God, our interests raise - Until we seek to make some connections!

Amazingly, the Spirit of God calls us to go - And it isn't long until He is able to show To us places and people who need to know - It is God whom we need for a connection!

People around often ask how we know them. The neighbors are limited to work-mates and kin - They wonder how we know even China-men. It is God's will that we make connections!

I am still amazed at God's ways with me. It didn't cross my mind when young that I would see People from far nations and even one my wife would be. God Himself arranged all the connections!

"Father, how gracious it was of Thee to allow me to do what Thou hast called me to do, to go to the places I have been and marry the woman You chose to be my wife. I thank Thee in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen."
