Colossians 1:4. "Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,"
YOUR FAITH. From God, who in love and with wisdom unlimited, Came the message of Christ Jesus who in His grace inhabited Human flesh that He might become the Savior of men; Who when they heard the Gospel message would be conscious of their sin; They would hear these truths and be made aware of His saving grace, And awakened by the Holy Spirit would turn in repentance and faith, To the Lord Jesus alone who in forgiveness; their sins put away. Then the Spirit of God would be in them to stay.
From then on things change after putting saving faith in Christ alone. As a new creation in Christ Jesus a new nature has come To be reckoned with in every aspect of life - Whether it be business and pleasure, or as husband and wife; Old things pass away, and God makes all things become new. Things we once hated, now we do; things once indulged in - now we are through. Faith is in Christ Jesus, not in one's own ability. Though unseen to our eyes, He is our main reality.
An interesting addendum to putting our faith in Him, Is that we find there are many others with that same trust in them. There is a mutual drawing of ourselves to those dear people. No matter what nationality or culture, we find we are equal In loving the Lord, and so we love one another. As those who are accepted in Christ, we all know God as our Father. When something happens to them, and the news comes to me It affects me also because we are in the same family.
Putting your faith in Christ Jesus means life starts all over again. For those who first come in faith to Him, love is manifested in them. Doors once closed now are opened when we pray. There is a difference in what we do, as well as what we say. Life is much different on the narrow way than on the broad. Once we lived for ourselves and now, we live for the Lord. There is peace where once was fear; there is joy when before we were sad. There is a trust where once was doubt; faith in Christ has made us glad.
"Loving Father, the faith You initiated that led me to the Savior, really does work - even after 60 years, I thank Thee for leading me to trust the Savior. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen."
