Exodus 3:5

HOLY GROUND

EXODUS 3:5. “And He said, ‘Draw not nigh hither: put off the shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.’” HOLY GROUND God called him from an unusual place. The watcher heard God’s voice but didn’t see His face. Forty years in the wilderness learning God’s leading to trace – On to Holy Ground.

“I am the God of thy father” and those gone on before. They knew Me too, long before you were born. Now it is your turn to bow and pick up the torch – Leading to Holy Ground.

“I have seen the affliction” all they have had to endure. I know their troubles and all they go through. They need a leader and I have chosen to pick you – Learn the value of Holy Ground.

“I know their sorrows” and every tear they have shed. I understand their weakness – they will have to be led. I see their sorrow and number every bowed head – But they have never been on Holy Ground.

“I am come down to deliver them,” I made Abraham a promise. They are My children – for them I have a purpose. Through them, all will know the riches of My grace. You are to lead them to Holy Ground.

“I have seen the oppression,” from Egyptian world around; Their voices I hear – such a plaintive sad sound; Through them to the world will great blessings abound – When they get to Holy Ground.

“I will send thee,” and be with thee, I’ll not leave thee alone. With highest authority right from heaven’s throne For the next forty years, you are going to be the one – I chose to find Holy Ground.

“I AM THAT I AM,” that’s all you need to say, When they challenge your right to show them the way. I have visited you here, and will be there every day – As you move on to Holy Ground.

“I will stretch out My hand” and there will be judgments that fall. They will continue to come until sinners call For mercy and deliverance that never comes to all – Who don’t care about Holy Ground.

Today I have learned, O my Father and God, That through the Spirit’s unfolding of Thy Holy Word, I too, have been traveling – these footpaths I’ve trod Have been on Holy Ground.

“Holy God, the God of my fathers and my fathers’ fathers: I move in bare feet to the place of communion and fellowship with Thee. May I never let the contamination of the world dirty up the place where I meet with Thee and with Thy people. I wash my feet in the cleansing of the Word of God and listen anxiously to all that Thou would say to me. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
