Exodus 5:1

MY PEOPLE

EXODUS 5:1. “And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.” MY PEOPLE. Right after worship when our spirits are high, It seems like the Lord is so near, I can fly Right into heaven without a parting sigh For all that is left behind.

Then down with a jolt I fall, and pressures begin; They hit me so hard I can really feel pain, And the cares of this life hit again and again,

For the problems that rise up and bind.

Instead of getting easier, things get harder and harder. Instead of fulfillment, dreams go farther and farther. Days of labor and toil seem longer and longer – Oppositions come from those that are blind.

Then I remember, we have a promise to go To the land of promise – it was the Lord told us so, And His word is true, and His people can know – Because He said so – the promised future is mine.

“O God and Father, I rest in Thee with assurance that all Thou hast promised will be fulfilled in Thine own good time and way. Such confidence gives peace when all around is turmoil and unrest. I am so grateful for all Thy promises. I thank Thee in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
