GENESIS 49:1-2. “And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, ‘Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.’”
DISCLOSURE. They gathered together a divergent group Of men although they were brothers. Each came to hear Jacob’s final words, Before he was gathered to his fathers.
As their father began to speak to them – Things they had thought would never see exposure Were pointed out – these would affect their lives – Hidden things were given full disclosure.
Some heard good things and others heard bad – Our life is made up of decisions. Actions made in haste in a moment’s time - Can follow us even after serious confessions.
A whole life can pass without sins being known – But of this you can be very sure – There is a day both for saved and lost – When before the Lord there is full disclosure.
For those who are saved we will give account – Of the life for the Lord we live here. For those who stand before the Great White Throne – Disclosure will bring them great fear.
It is my desire to live each day – Aware of the all-seeing eyes of God. Then when the Lord comes to take us away – I will not be ashamed to look at my Lord.
“O Holy God, looking ahead to the day when all the hidden things will be brought into light, I am aware of the need of Thy grace to be manifest to me each day. I am thankful for Thy saving grace and for grace to live each hour for Thee. I know if left to myself I would fail in every way. How I praise Thee for disclosing to me early in life my need of the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord. Now I do thank Thee for His present work as Mediator and High Priest on my behalf. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
