Matthew 13:2. “And great multitudes were gathered together unto Him, so that He went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.” TRUTHS TO BE TOLD. Out of the house to where the people are. Out of the house God’s truth to share. Out of the house to the side of the sea; There to teach truth that all might believe.
On the shore near the boat the multitude stands; In parables He taught them the way God has planned. The Lord knew that the people did not understand. All the truths God wants them to know.
He went into the house the explanation to give. In that house were those who believed. They knew Jesus had come here to save; All those who call on the Lord.
In the house He unfolded those things That made clear the truths He came here to bring. The future, the cost, the value of men, Were explained by the Lord there that day.
Then He left there because the time had come For Him to return back to His earthly home; And for those He had taught after He had gone – To practice what He had preached.
In His own country, instead of giving Him honor, They were offended in Him, because of His power. And were not willing to pay Him attention any longer, Because they did not acknowledge Him Lord.
So, whether in public or in private, I must – Acknowledge Him Lord – the Savior I trust. And in my home and with my family, I rest – In the Lord and the truths that He gives.
“O God in heaven, when Thy Son was here, how wonderful that He was willing to teach in all the places people could be found. Out in the open where everyone could hear, He gave the people what they needed to hear. In private, He gave clear explanations to those who had ears to hear. How I want and need to hear His word speaking to my soul. Amen.”
