Matthew 26:32. But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.”
“YE KNOW”. I never will fully understand – It defies my explanation. But His full commitment to the Father’s will Gave Him the motivation.
Christ came from heaven in love to men; He came to seek and save. Salvation’s cost far beyond all ken, Was His life – He willingly gave.
The priests and the judge, the thieves and the crowd, Were all people just like me. All around the cross with voices crying loud, His perfect holiness they could not see.
To review the words describing His passion, Moves my memory once again. It is my great delight, in His appointed fashion, To worship Him, bringing honor to His name.
Father, the words that came on my bed, I cannot seem to recall them now. But You heard them, before they left my head, And though forgotten – makes my heart to bow.
As I go today to worship my Lord – May my heart be soft and warm. May the thoughts I have be put into words, As we give glory and exalt His name.
I am not interested today in just words to say, But in this way, my love to express. Sometimes it seems when I come this way – It suits, Lord, and says it best.
“My rhymes, Lord, are not to draw attention to me, but to help me think new thoughts in new ways. I know You understand all that I mean and why it is important to Thee to hear a simple son say, ‘Thanks Father, I do love You.’ In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
