Matthew 27:1. “When the morning was come…” CHANGES. The sun came up as their hearts got darker. Judas looked inside – saw he was condemned. Priests and soldiers – even the governor;
Showed what was inside, standing before the God-Man.
They would’ve thought they were all in control Not understanding who the Christ really was. That morning of choice when they opened their souls, They rejected the Savior – the only One who can save.
27:45. “There was darkness over all the land…” The work of His word from the day of creation, Had daily done just what the Creator had planned. As darkness descended over people and nations, It became very clear – Jesus was more than a man.
In three hours of darkness - truly supernatural; The silence was deafening as sin’s offering was made. The cry from the Savior, on the cross so forsaken, Makes clear to faith’s eye, He, my debt fully paid.
27:62. “Now the next day…” The victory over sin, by His death was complete – By the Sinless One dying, sin’s power now is gone. Both the soldiers and nature to us clearly do state; The One who has died was both Savior and God.
On the day following, some frail, mortal men – Made to others a demand it was impossible to keep. To try to stop “Life” is like trying to stop rain – The seal had no power; as for soldiers – they shake.
28:1. “As it began to dawn…” At the first of the week, before the sun rose, Came heavenly messengers bringing good news. He who is Savior is not, as supposed Still dead in the grave; people must choose.
Am I now truly willing to believe Him by faith? Am I now truly willing for a living Savior to live? Yes, for my Lord – Savior, I will in this place, Tell those around, “Jesus lives and He saves.”
“O God and Father, the Source of Life and all blessings that flow to Thy children: I praise Thee today for the truth of the Gospel. The Good News still brings a thrill to my soul whenever I think of the eternal life I have in Christ. My I never hesitate to make myself available to tell others of the joy and peace I have found in the crucified, buried and risen Christ. Amen.”
