Matthew 28:7. “And go quickly, and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and, behold, He goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see Him: lo, I have told you.” A NEW BEGINNING. The silence of the sign of the prophet Jonah comes to an end. The silence of the new dawn is broken by the sound of women’s feet. The silence of the quiet, is broken by a stone-breaking earthquake. The silence of heaven ends as angels descend to do the God’s bidding. The silence of the grave is broken by the sound of the moving stone. The silence of motionless, fearful men, takes the place of idle chatter.
The sound of women’s voices, “Who will move the stone?” The sound of the angel’s voice, “Fear not ye…He is not here…He is risen!” The sound of running feet and joyful voices lifted to praise. The sound of Jesus’ voice, “All hail…go tell My brethren…” The sound of lying words, “Say ye…His disciples…stole Him away…” The sound of authority heard world-wide, “Go ye…teach…baptize…”
The greatest possible authority – “ALL POWER is given unto Me…” The largest number of people – “Teach ALL NATIONS…” The fullest act of responsibility – “Observe ALL THINGS…” The most blessed words of assurance – “I am with you ALWAYS.” Obeying these words, means life lived to the full.
Lives changed by the power of the Gospel we tell.
“How far-reaching and impacting are the truths of the Gospel, Father. I have experienced and I have seen how real and lasting is the result of those that repent and believe the Gospel. May I never tire of passing on its full reality to those of this world. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.”
