Philippians 4:1-7
HOW TO LIVE WELL Living for God is not complicated because of high demands laid on us by God. Some very simple things can be done to make our lives as believers what they should be. This chapter begins with a reference to the two verses before, where we are directed to focus our attention on the Lord Jesus Christ. Enablement for living the Christian life comes from Him now, and the prospect of His return and the change that will take place when He comes. It is our responsibility to stand fast in the Lord. We just don't want to get side-tracked by the pressures all around us. Being of the same mind in the Lord keeps us in fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Rejoicing in the Lord is our choice as the means to take care of the needs of our own souls. When those things are working in our lives, we will be living conscious of the presence of the Lord with us.
