HOUSE OF GOD. 1st Timothy 3:14-16 The truths Paul shared as instructions to Timothy are meant to be passed down to us. These principles and practices are still relevant today and clearly reflect God's intentions for assembly leadership. This concept is that of a household, where members are treated like family. In the first part of the chapter, he discusses the roles of overseers and then deacons. Now, he speaks to the believers as a whole. Behavior in God's house is very important. The apostle wanted to address these matters in person, but circumstances prevented him. Timothy was responsible for bringing these teachings to the church in Ephesus, both through his teaching and personal conduct.
