This truth is discussed here in Ephesians 6 to promote peace and faith. We wear the "armor of light" to shield ourselves from the darkness of the world. The "armor of righteousness" must be worn to guard us against the deceptive power of the flesh. The "whole armor of God" is necessary to defend us from the devil's attacks on the Christian home. Even with all the armor in place, we need the power of God's Spirit to stand firm for Him in this ungodly age.
