Laws regarding Personal Injuries

Laws regarding Personal Injuries. Exodus 21:12-19 The laws about injuries were made as guidelines so that extreme measures wouldn't be used for small issues, and serious problems wouldn't be ignored or taken lightly. Punishments for personal injuries can be too harsh or too soft. These laws aimed to protect the people, organize their social life, and help them focus on God.

It is important to think before we act because there are consequences, some of which are lasting, that follow. God intends for us to act responsibly and fairly in our relationships with others. The first example of godly living involves fairness to servants, such as employees and employers. Much of each day is spent in public view, where people form opinions of our faith based on our actions in the circumstances in which we work. Like Hebrew servants, we make choices of our own free will, and evidence of our faith and commitment to God are visible for all to see.
