PROPERTY LAWS... SOCIAL LAWS. EXODUS 22 There are laws to guide people as they relate to us as individuals. Therefore, we have the Ten Commandments. When obeyed, a "quiet and peaceable life" is possible for us as individuals. There were also laws concerning personal relationships and injuries that came into effect when people lived in a normal society. When those laws were considered and the effects of choices known, people would stop thinking before acting, and one could live in peace with his neighbor. There were laws concerning property rights that would keep a whole society from disintegrating into chaos and hatred.
