1st John 2:20. “But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.” ANOINTING. It is not a mistake; all the Godhead agrees – The Holy Spirit who gives life has identified me By anointing me Himself – sealing and indwelling within – And there is no need of the oil-symbol; I’ve been anointed by Him.
The Father and the Son both had a part in this act. The Father planned salvation – the Son made it a fact – When by fulfilling all righteousness by His sacrificial death – Salvation is given by God when we know and obey the truth.
The anointing by God sets each believer from the world apart. We have responded to God’s Gospel and believed it from the heart. The subtlety from the world where so many lies all abound – Is rejected by the child of God in whom God’s grace is found.
There isn’t some ceremony planned like anointing by mere men This act is by God only, from the beginning to the end. In grace He revealed Himself – and by faith I believed – When that actually happened, divine anointing I received.
I know it has happened by the differences I can see Between the things I joy and rejoice in and the world around me. Others run here and there seeming to look for new ways to sin. The antichrist system claims so much and yet to men gives so little. I have found God’s promises He fulfills, including each jot and tittle. The result of His anointing is great peace and a contented mind. I have been blessed for years with what most in the world will never find.
“There is great peace Father, in knowing that the Holy Spirit has done His separating work and has sealed me. It certainly is real to me when I see how dissatisfied so many people are with their lives and the hopelessness they live under. I praise Thee for the unity of the Godhead in the anointing I have received. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
