1st John 2:26. “These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.” I HAVE WRITTEN. About the beginning – the Word, the Light, the Life He wrote and it was clear to all who read The Eternal God was here in the flesh – a Man among men Here to give the Spirit-born new life to mortal men.
Again, and again he wrote defining, clarifying Repeating in illustration after illustration a unique truth – This fellowship, this new life, this new nature given freely To all those who believe and receive – the Son of God.
Warnings were given – written by one who knows Who heard from the Master Himself - warnings about coming deception; Evil men with personal agendas are working to stop grace And they will come subtly to turn aside the saints.
He wrote to warn of those who denied true incarnation Deception – Jesus was not real only a spirit-visible To deny Him – in flesh, real and full of grace – is antichrist And the warnings need paying attention to – by all.
Written again in final words – the future unfolds In fearful and terrible clarity of judgment Yet to come on all who seduce God’s people And final offers of repentance and salvation.
Written for our learning – Jesus Christ is God Written for our faith – he that believeth has everlasting life Written for our edification – if we sin, we have an Advocate Written for our fellowship – with the Father, Son, Holy Spirit – and each other.
