1st John 2:6. “He that saith he abideth in him, ought himself to walk, even as he walked.”
CONDUCT. To walk as Christ did seems so high that I could never reach. The manner of conduct that so greatly His own Father pleased – By abiding in Christ so that in all aspects I learn what he does teach Then I can apply myself to walk in love that others Christ will see.
His walk on earth created interest as each day He met folks needs. His walk affected how people thought when to His words paid heed. His walk took Him to an open place where the hungry He did feed. His walk led Him to heal and bless those who for His help did plead.
I may not always know the results of walking with the Lord. The conduct expected in my life motivates me to be all I should. I know the course of life must be always governed by the Word When I say I abide in Christ, I will walk as I knew He would.
“The standard is high Father God, because I am told to walk before Thee even as He walked before Thee. This seems so far above my ability that I must come to Thee in prayer and ask for strength, grace and power to do what I cannot do in myself. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
