1st John 3:9. “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” HIS SEED. There is life in that seed – every impulse from God, that makes something innate spring forth and grow. When it first sprang to life by the power of God, there was a life change that I could personally know. As time passed along, life that came from the seed, began to break the shell and evidence did show, There was something new there in me that was never there before, and that started over 60 years ago.
Time passes by and much in life changes from the place where lives, to his work, However, the seed that was in when the sower spread it around, still reproduces and remains like it was at the start. The Life-Source is the same and still does maintain the characteristics God wanted to see. So if sin does break out, it can be stopped when my mouth makes a true confession of that which came to be.
How wonderful God’s grace I’ve known in each place He has moved me to carry out my calling. The seed of life He gave when my soul He did save, is still in me and keeps me from falling. The seed planted by God does not spoil as time passes, it remains living, and vital and real. One born of God knows sinning is not a habit, that person confesses and forsakes sin, not conceals.
“The reality of the new birth, Father God, is what enables me to not make sin the on-going practice of my life. May I always be willing to quickly respond to the power and influence of the Holy Spirit to keep me from sinning. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
