1st John 5:12. “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God, hath not life.” YES OR NO. No place or position near the half way mark, No gray areas, only black or white. It is impossible to be half in or half out, It must be either wrong or right.
You can’t be in heaven or hell both at once, You will be in either one or the other. You can’t be a friend of the world and God, A “worlding” is not a Christian brother.
If you have the Son then you have eternal life, Of that fact there is absolutely no question. You know you have the Son, when you know and love the Lord, Through the Word and the Spirit, God gives salvation.
When there is no love for Christ – no evidence of grace – No desire to learn the things of God; Then that person has no life, there is no real fruit – For eternal life is proven through the living Word.
There is no in between, half living and half dead – Eternal life is vital and alive just like the Savior. When God’s life is deep inside, the Holy Spirit does abide, And eternal life shows itself in my behavior.
God’s joy and heavenly grace, find in me a lasting place, And the things I want to do in life are for Him. Since God gave me eternal life, earthly things have lost their taste, The things that grieve me most are when I sin.
“Gracious, eternal God, it is with a grateful heart I thank Thee for eternal life give to me as a gift from Thee. I praise Thee for granting such a gift to one who is so undeserving. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
