1st John 5:11. “And this is the record, that God hath given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.” THE LIFE. Not like any other – this life has no end The Giver of life has a unique life of His own. Origin-less, without a pedigree it stands apart From all forms or latent seeds that need nurturing. Unable to be transmitted except by its Possessor, It awaits to be gifted; not commanded nor demanded. It is a gift owned alone by Deity who is willing to give – Not to doubters of truth, of grace or of God – But faith, even the smallest amount placed in the right Person – Is honored, it is accepted as sufficient, is the key – As eyes of the heart are turned from self and man and earth – To Him who knows the heart and looks upon it with omniscience – Recognizing when He is recognized – and believed and received. Then from the life that is His alone, He takes of Himself – And gives that needed gift – not totally valued or understood yet – To the one who has made the step of faith – faltering perhaps, but trusting Him, and He knows, and loves and smiles upon those baby steps – And willingly gives the gift of His life making the recipient – His child. “I believe Father God; I know I have eternal life from Thee. I am thankful and I praise Thee for such grace as to bestow this gift on this unworthy sinner. Thanks, from my heart, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
