Proverbs 16:1

INNER READY

Proverbs 16:1. “The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.”

INNER READY. Perhaps in the dark at one’s first waking thought An idea arises that makes the mind call a halt To focus on one thing that seems to have “Come out of the blue” And in a very short time this plan seems what I must do.

At first ideas are scattered without an orderly plan And then plans form and you realize you can Take this plan beyond thought and then it will fit Into your day or work, so you pray about it.

In your heart it found a need and a purpose to fill Perhaps you asked advice and later the plan was there still So, you wait upon God to know if this idea will last And God adds His blessing to it and brings it to pass.

Some things are necessary as we move daily through life Vision and a willingness to act in faith when it’s right The Lord has the final say, the eventual outcome is His But He wants our hearts and minds to move ahead with this.

The results of any work are under His divine control He is willing to let me share with Him what started in my soul When God takes my plan and guides it in His perfect way His idea He began in me is good for He has the final say.

Preparations of the heart allows the Holy Spirit a fertile place To begin a work in me that reveals God’s redeeming grace Independent actions would pollute any act of a man That can bring great blessing to others when it comes from God’s own hand.

“This is a new day Father, when my waking thoughts have been on these Gospel meetings and some of the people that have been coming. We have connected with some but there are others that need to be awakened and convicted of their sin. If the ideas I have had are to be carried out, I await Thy guidance to direct the activities before us today. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
