Proverbs 19:1

THE POOR

Proverbs 19:1. “Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.”

THE POOR. It is better to be a poor man living a life that is blameless, Then a wealthy man whose evil talk is shameless.

It is better to be a poor man and lose your friends, Than to be a wealthy man who loses his soul in the end.

It is better to be a poor man from relatives bereft, Then a compromiser who from his integrity has left.

It is good to help the poor thus honoring God,

And in the future from God comes His reward.

A poor man who tells the truth is more esteemed, For truth more than money is respected in the end.

To be poor and righteous is never a shame, Such a person will not bring dishonor to God’s name.

To be limited in things that you own is not bad, It is covetousness and greed that makes people sad.

To be poor and free from debt is liberty, To owe much and not pay is enslaving to me.

“Gracious God, I am thankful to Thee that money has not been a big issue to me as far as claiming my time and energy to get it. I am grateful to Thee for abundantly providing for us all that we need to live comfortably and move about the world to fulfill our calling. Keep us I pray from setting our heart upon riches. The riches of Thy grace and mercy are the real wealth I desire. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
